I have finally been able to see The Batman, a movie that I loved, it left me impressed and if I had to classify it as a police movie, I would place it as the best police movie I've seen. Now, I'll start with my analysis without spoilers:

If you have read some reviews you will have noticed that in several the resemblance of The Batman with movies like The Zodiac or Seven is mentioned, but I would also add another example like The Bone Collector. In all these examples we see a psychopath committing murders, playing with the police and moving the pieces of this imaginary chessboard at will. Sometimes it even seemed like a horror movie.

One of the aspects in which he stood out the most was in the action, an aspect that in my opinion, was the weakest in Christopher Nolan's trilogy, where Christian Bale's Batman was seen with very slow mobility and in quite boring fights. Robert Pattinson's Batman, despite being armored, offers very fast and brutal fights, very well choreographed and very dynamic.

Robert Pattinson excelled in the role of Batman. He played a great way of the vigilante who imposes fear on criminals and you can tell that every time he throws a punch is in complete fury towards these people. While Bruce Wayne is rarely seen, Pattinson again does a good job of portraying the budding millionaire as a more reserved and somber person, without getting to that point where it's important to maintain his facade as the philanthropist and playboy.

Zoe Kravitz was a hit as Selina Kyle. The actress perfectly has a 10/10 chemistry with Pattinson and plays perfectly the sensuality and rebellion that characterizes Catwoman. She also shows the opposite personality of what Batman is in this movie.

Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon was one of the most surprising aspects of the film. It is very difficult to play the character after a legend like Gary Oldman, but Jeffrey fulfilled the role, showing a great camaraderie with Batman and as a true leader and ethical when it comes to doing justice.

The villains were not far behind; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and his exposure as a real mob boss who really shows to be the silent owner of an entire city. Colin Farrell as the Penguin, by far the most charismatic character in the film. And finally, the Riddler. If you see the interpretation of Jim Carrey as the character at certain moments you think you are seeing a Joker 2.0, despite Paul Dano giving his own essence in the rol, playing a true psychopath and murderer.

It is very difficult to give a verdict on whether this Batman movie is better than The Dark Knight, however I think that as a film in general this work created by Matt Reeves narrowly beats the creation of Nolan. In The Dark Knight the weight of the film lies more in the interpretation of Heath Ledger as the Joker and what he provokes in the other characters. I have read a lot from fans that this version of the character is the most loyal and personally, as not being a connoisseur of comics, I saw this Batman movie as the best ever made, because it truly reminds me of the video game saga of Arkham, a masterpiece of the world of video games.

This was the point of view of a simple and “amateur” fan of Batman. I would love to know your opinion if you have already been able to see this great film.
