The school-cum cyclone shelter building is disappearing in the clutches of the terrible Meghna in Bhola's Tajumuddin. The four-storey building constructed by SSDP at a cost of Tk 3 crore in Nishchintapur Sikder Bazar of Char Zahiruddin, which is isolated from the upazila, is about to collapse and sink into the riverbed. Charbasi has expressed displeasure that the building was not removed on time through tender on the pretext of bureaucratic procrastination.

According to sources, a four-storey building was constructed at a cost of Tk 2.92 crore in the Secondary Education Sector Development Project (SSDP) 2010/11 of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education to expand the shelter and education system of the people in the char areas.
