Often delight faraway exotic destinations that are on another continent and of the world, bypassing the geographical location of our country.

On the territory of South-Eastern Europe, on the territory of the former Yugoslavia, are some of the most beautiful national parks in Europe.

I learned about all of them through my school years and after at university, and I will tell you a little something about them and their beauty.

National Park Tara - Serbia

Tara National Park is situated on the highest part of the mountain Tara, on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the western part of the Republic of Serbia. The specificity of this area is the variety of landforms and geological substrate, which makes residence rich flora and fauna, as well as numerous forest ecosystems with a large number of rare species, including the famous Serbian spruce. The Drina River Canyon is one of the most beautiful and deepest canyons in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina with a very well preserved and rich flora and fauna. Its cliffs are covered with dense deciduous and coniferous forests. Drina Water is crystal clear and transparent, and the color of her oscillate between the green, fully transparent, and blue colors.

National Park Triglav - Slovenia

Triglav National Park is the only national park in Slovenia with a special protective and strict regime than other protected areas. Named after its highest mountain peak, also the symbol of Slovenia - Mount Triglav, which is located in the middle of the park at 2,864 meters above sea level. National Park extends along with the Italian and near the Austrian border, in the northwest of Slovenia, and in the southeastern part of the Alps.

 National park Plitvice Lakes - Croatia

Plitvice Lakes is one of the most beautiful Croatian natural resources, which are located in the area of Lika. Plitvice Lakes are a unique phenomenon of hydrography and consist of 16 lakes between which there is a large number of waterfalls, including the largest in Croatia - "Veliki slap" which is 78 meters high. The lakes have very characteristic colors, from emerald green to turquoise, which is a special attraction of this destination.
