Ukraine's defense minister says he wants to surprise enemies

Ukraine is receiving military assistance from allies, according to Defense Minister Oleski Reznikov. However, he did not disclose the matter. He said, let it be a surprise for the enemy. News Russian media RT.

"I am not commenting on the military equipment," the Ukrainian defense minister wrote on social media on Monday. This is a very delicate time. I keep it as a surprise for the enemies. Keep in mind that significant progress has been made.

Ukraine has bought more than 50,000 helmets and safety jackets, said Oleski Reznikov. This includes uniforms made for Western alliance NATO member states.

On Sunday, US broadcaster CNN reported that Mark Miller, chairman of the US Army's Joint Chiefs of Staff, had visited a weapons depot set up at an air base near the Ukrainian border. At least 16 planes land there every day.

Earlier, European countries promised to supply Ukraine with anti-tank weapons, air defense systems and machine guns. At the end of February, the European Union (EU) announced that Kiev would be given 488 million worth of "lethal weapons"

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for declaring Ukraine's skies a no-fly zone. However, NATO has said that it will not take this route for fear of getting involved in a direct conflict with Russia.
