The Time I Almost Became a Human Torch

I was in high school when I had this hilarious moment that I will never forget. It was during a chemistry lab, and we were doing an experiment with a Bunsen burner.

The teacher was demonstrating how to use the Bunsen burner, and she told us to be careful not to touch the flame. I was paying close attention, but I was also a little bit distracted. I was thinking about the upcoming test, and I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing.

I was holding a test tube, and I was trying to heat it up over the Bunsen burner. I was holding the test tube too close to the flame, and I accidentally touched it. The test tube shattered, and the hot liquid inside spilled all over my hand.

I screamed in pain, and the teacher rushed over to help me. She turned off the Bunsen burner and put my hand under cold water. It hurt like crazy, but I was lucky that I didn't get burned too badly.
