The details said that a two-storey residential building collapsed near Tanga Stand and coal warehouse in Lyari area of Shar-e-Quaid. According to rescue sources, the body of one person and five injured people were recovered from the rubble of the building. However, several people are still feared to be buried under the rubble. Police and Rangers personnel also reached the spot.
Earlier, a four-storey residential building collapsed in Korangi Allahwala Town, east of Karachi, killing seven people. According to details, a residential building near Korangi Crossing Allahwala Town in Karachi collapsed. The building was four to five storeys high. Rescue teams rushed to the spot after the incident and rescue operations are underway. Rescue sources said that the bodies of 7 people were recovered from the rubble of the building while 8 people including women and children were rescued alive.
