Researchers are talking about certain "primary colors". These are the ones that you can make as many combinations as possible from. The basic colors of the light are red, blue and green. When the red and blue lights are combined, a blue-red called magenta is created. The mixture of blue and green light creates a blue-green called cyan. Red and green light together form yellow. All three receivers emit white light.
