Throughout history, countless philosophers have tried to define human existence, the reason for our presence in the universe. Attempts in vain; life was seen only as a presence in the world. When human existence was observed as life in itself, which does not depend on other things to make sense, it was respected with more dignity and human existence was contemplated with meaning. It was necessary to understand life itself and not define existence as a presence in the world that seeks to find a purpose. Purpose already exists as a mission, just as human existence is a real fact.
Human existence differs from so many other lives existing in the world. Animals and plants do not know they exist, much less why they exist. Only human life is covered by reason, feelings, emotions, conscience, and freedom; which gives us the grace to seek and contemplate the meaning of life. The meaning of life exists in human life, is reserved for our experience, and can be contemplated by the faculties that are our own. Freedom directs us to live according to the principles we adopt and are convenient to use, but it entails the responsibility to live more than a choice; live according to the awareness that we are on the path of meaning. The reason we live must be the meaning that existence provides. She is natural, rational, and compromising. Natural because we were blessed with life and its meaning; rational because we are endowed with the capacity to choose (freedom) between the convenient and the unpleasant; compromising because existence demands that we live with meaning, moving away from everything that hurts human dignity and approaching the existential emptiness.
Human existence is endowed with feelings and emotions that can determine the experience, lead the life if we allow it; however, we have the freedom to accept certain feelings and emotions as healthy or not and assume a mature attitude towards existence, opportunities, and paths to follow, always looking towards the direction, our goal, and mission. Life has meaning and we human beings are the only living beings endowed with the ability to find meaning and carry out a mission. A mission given to someone is a committed commitment. We are capable of taking on and carrying out a mission, carrying out a task that has been assigned to us. Existence brings with it and delivers into our hands, a mission to be assumed and carried out, and, with it, we live the meaning. Existence is the presence in life that existential grace, which we have to carry out our mission. Life has entrusted a mission to our life, a unique mission that must be assumed with singularity and autonomy.
Human existence is endowed with the ability to make decisions for itself, given its freedom and considering its history. Here is the meaning of life, unique and unrepeatable that considers the singular and autonomous reality as a fundamental principle for human existence. We seek to understand the meaning of life because life has a meaning and we give it a worthwhile direction, and we must do so considering that human life is a being capable of understanding and making decisions regardless of the gravity of the situation. Each feeling is possible and capable of being understood and accepted in the sense of life. Faced with them, it is up to us to experience the meaning and assume the existential reality as a mission. We are not free from unwanted feelings and pains reaching us, but we are free to take a stand in front of them and allow life to be conducted with meaning only for all the ailments we face. Welcoming does not mean that it is necessary to convert life into a certain reality but to understand a certain reality and, in the face of it, opt for attitudes that make sense.
Existence brings with it the reality of life and offers us the grace to walk with serenity and maturity, while we can also walk frustrated and discouraged. It all depends on how we understand the value of life vis-a-vis its existence. Life puts us in front of joys and pains. These exist as real as our existence is. Our mission is to find meaning in front of everything we are faced with, to calm a mature experience, and not only seek moments of happiness, fleeing from difficult moments. Existence gives us the grace of life and life has a meaning. It is our mission to find him so that we can live the fullness of our existence. The meaning of life must not be given by us, but found. We must not invent or create a meaning for our life, nor base it on external experiences or things, but seek it to be found in its existence. This search takes place throughout life and the encounter takes place at every moment in which a certain reality and experience make sense to our existence.
The living must be a constant encounter with life. The human being is not just a being thrown into the world, a drive, an inferior being that seeks power, but he has a reason to exist. We are much more than biological, sociological, and psychological beings; we are an integrated reality that contemplates existence, experience, and mission, and in this experience,
the sense directed to the mission must be contemplated. The meaning of life is to live the mission that has been reserved for us in existence.
The meaning of everything is the meaning that exists in everything.
Hmm. True, the existence of humans should not be devoid of meaning since we are rational beings with higher intelligence than every other creatures on earth.
