Nature Heals
Nature plays a vital role in Mental and Physical wellbeing. Being in nature reduces anger, fear, anxiety, frustration, and stress and enhances pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature makes you feel better emotionally as well as physically by reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones.
Visiting Hilly Areas, Waterfalls, and other green places can improve the mood and reduce stress. Greenery is peaceful for eyes; sitting under tree shadows on the grass, listening to chirps of birds, feeling the fragrance of flowers especially when the wind blows, all these factors are sources of relaxation and comfort.

One can get benefit from indoor activities too. For example, growing Food and Flowers on the lawn of your house. Taking care of your plants helps you to be more active. These activities cause to improve your mood, physical health, confidence, self-esteem, and caring attitude. Gardening is actually a constant boost. People move towards hill stations and farmhouses in order to get close to nature and get rid of anxiety and depression. Here are some ideas that may suit you for getting closer to nature;
Put a bird feeder and bowl of water to attract them.
Manage Aquarium inside your house.
Dig a bed and plant flowers or other plants.
Grow vegetables and fruits along with other plants.
If you don’t have enough spaces then grow plants in small pots on the balcony.
Buy flowery plants.
Decorate your room/house with natural things like flowers, feathers, leaves, etc.
Arrange a sitting place near a window from where you can see outside it will give comfort to your eyes and cause relaxation.
Use your favorite nature wallpapers on your mobile phone and laptop desktop.
Listen to natural sounds like sounds of birds, rain, ocean waves and feel the fragrance of flowers, wet soil, grass, etc.
Take a walk in Local Park.
Enjoy looking at the night sky to watch the stars.
Do jogging in the early morning, it will help you to take breathe in the fresh air.
Hiking on mountains and passing through greenery and waterfalls, the sound of flowing water will amuse you more.
What about BBQ in a hilly green area? It will surely make your mind peaceful.
Build a habitat for animals like rabbits, fishes, and birds like parrots sparrows, etc if you have space in your house.
Many of us have some hurdles that stop us from getting close to nature e.g.
Get tired easily
Unable to manage time after hectic Office routine.
Find spending time outside and facing people challenging.
Feel unmotivated.
How to overcome these hurdles?
Simply start by sending just 10 to 15 minutes in the garden or sitting under a tree and observe the nature around you.
If you are afraid of people then go outside with a trustable person first.
Too much time in front of screens is deadly. As sitting in front of a TV, Laptop or excessive use of a mobile phone leads to depression. So, Physical activity is must for everyone.
Nature heals.
Regardless of age, everyone finds nature pleasing. Basically, the environment can increase or reduce stress which in turn impacts our body. An unpleasant environment leads you towards stress, sadness, and anxiousness that cause to elevate your blood pressure, muscle tension, suppression of the immune system. On the other side, a pleasing environment cause reverses effects.
