You were my best half of my sinless soul
The part that kept me alive through thick and thins
When we used to be one
You were the thought that filled my head
And begged the tip of my pen to masturbate on the innocent white papers of my heart
Once before the tide turned,
You were the captain of my ship,
The driver of my very soul.
When we were together,
I held you in utmost regard,
Kept you in the bastion of my heart.
And watch over you emulously
Now that we are asunder
I built for you a new abode in my mind
Closest to my brain and consciousness too
The safest anchorage for your specie
You are the light that shines
Through my eyelid and bathed me with its glory
You are the muse for my poetry
The thought of you birthed this piece.
