The Dark Leading Lights
How do we sleep at night?
When corruption had become our moonlight
And our leaders had become our stars
How do we work during the day?
When ……… has turning to our sunlight
Scorching us like the desert sun
Hope is gone but we are still hoping for it
What do we eat?
When hunger is the only food on our plate
And our saliva has turn to our water
Who do we call on?
When our leaders had forsaken us
Leaving us with the beast call insecurity
And with a pool in which our houses swims in.
Our ancestors are asleep
Indeed our ancestors are asleep.
Who can go and weak our ancestors from their slumber
Telling them about our leaders
Who had left us in the battle against bandit,
Who had trade our peace for their comfort
And had disregarded the deaths of our hungry children,
We have lost count of the green leaves
Which falls from the tree of life each day.
Our LIGHTS are dark
Death is now a friend
And a fortress for those who seek peace
Peace is now a gem
Buried under the sea, where no one can find it
Flood is now a citizen that walks freely on the street
Thieves are no longer a visitor that knocks before coming in
