Most Britons are unhappy with post-Brexit trade deal Boris Johnson negotiated with European Union - poll

Research by the British Foreign Policy Group, showed that less than a quarter of those surveyed believe that the Prime Minister's agreement is "the best basis for our relationship with the EU."

Thus, 27% of respondents want a much closer relationship with the aim of re-joining, another 22% want a closer relationship, but remain outside the bloc. 12% would prefer to move further from Europe. 24% of respondents approving the agreement approve it with the important caveat that it was the best agreement for the “near future”.

The poll, conducted within a week of the January 31st treaty's entry into force, is the first major snapshot of the sentiment that the British think about the post-Brexit reality.
