Tunjangan Hari Raya - Holiday allowance

The most anticipated period approaching Eid al-Fitr, the most crowded and trending in my country at this time is the issue of Tunjangan Hari Raya or commonly abbreviated as THR.

Tunjangan Hari Raya is basically only available to workers, both private and public employees. But slowly it has developed to be used as an expression that can be used for all levels of society, whether non-employees, children, or the elderly. Like a great expectation of getting a gift from someone to be used to welcome Eid al-Fitr.

Other things besides the Eid allowance that become the main point are Eid cakes/food for Eid, homecoming/returning to the village to meet and gather with extended family and the last one is decorated by the busy problem of having clothes for Eid.

The need is indeed so, where this is due to the primacy of the problem of a major celebration for Muslims. For Muslims, the celebration of Eid al-Fitr is a day of victory after struggling for a long time in the month of Ramadan to restrain their desires, especially eating and drinking.

Such is the hyporia that exists to welcome Eid al-Fitr in my beloved country of Indonesia. Then what about you as a Muslim in your country welcoming Eid al-Fitr? What is certain is that I am sure that I will feel the same happiness as what every Muslim in the world feels, maybe different languages, customs or traditions but the goal remains the same, namely welcoming the Day of Victory.
