August 17, 1945, is the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The country where I stand was born and raised. Remembering the days of the 17th of August when I was a child. So lively with a variety of celebrations that are usually done. There are competitions and stage celebrations that can be said to be people's parties that can be celebrated every year.
Various competitions were held in each region. Both parents and children followed and celebrated Independence Day. It now falls on the 76th year since independence was declared. All the excitement and excitement and sense of defending the country has disappeared in this increasingly advanced era. Coupled with the impact of the corona that hit the more lost time to enjoy the Independence Day of this beloved republic.
Now I can only feel the time. As a national holiday the celebration of independence without any celebration to enliven the Independence Day itself. And it makes the younger generation more distant from the sense of love for their homeland. Loss of the usual sense of joy, lost the sense of nationality that exists, is getting thinner day by day. There are no more stories about the heroes of the warriors of the past. There is no longer any sense of gratitude for the blessings of independence achieved.
The more my flag flutters, the more lost the heroic philosophy that grows. Love for the homeland is the pride of the youth of the ancient days. And now it seems to have disappeared without a trace leaving the next generation of the nation.
There is one joke that is being talked about by parents now when independence is taking place this time. And the crowd became a joke that really became a reminder of myself about the celebration of independence.
"Is there any competition or not?
There is a competition in August this year.. a race to survive..😊😊..."
A message that should pierce government officials who have hurt the hearts of the Indonesian people. They are chosen but forget who chose them. That's the generation of officials today. Only concerned with the fate of themself over their people. It was as if they had forgotten that the republic's bloodshed was fought with the blood of the fallen heroes. If the Indonesian republic was not independent, would it be possible for them to sit in the positions they have now?
Indonesia spilled my blood. A song title that has lost its full meaning now. His reverberation has also been lost to time. As a child, I often used to listen to various songs about the struggle and pride of this nation.
Are time and era to blame? Can't it be said that the era is wrong? Was a plague misunderstood? Not really. Love for the nation grows from the bottom of the heart and the guidance instills a sense of nationality. And it has been lost in the hands of the representatives of the people who are now sitting in the current government. Corruption, as well as various kinds of abuse of office, occurred. Creating a space between the rich and the poor. Slavery under colonial rule was again felt when the word independence had been achieved.
A faded nation that has forgotten the meaning of independence. But in all its forms that have occurred, it is not worthy of blame and blame. Anyone has the right to take a stand. This has become tangible evidence, and I hope and pray that in the future it will be better and this sense of nationality will grow and be held in the hearts of every generation of the nation in the future. Greetings to my people, greetings to the Republic of Indonesia. Continue to rise and continue to stand as a unified nation, namely the Indonesian nation. My red and white flag continues to fly at the tip of the highest pole in Indonesia.

Same with us, most people do not value our independence that a lot of our heroes fought for. Just because we have it others still prefer foreign countries to be here or whatever. Tsh.
Anyway am not too familiar with Indonesia. Which country did you get independent from?
