"I know is that I know nothing," said Socrates in an era ruled by myth and superstition.

His voice became a form of humility of a human with an ugly face who always wore bad clothes naked. Physical beauty and luxury property do not really matter to the elderly who are known as the father of philosophy. Everyone he meets will save thousands of questions that will surprise him who always feels he knows nothing.

It is annoying and annoys many people in their daily routine. By taking up a lot of crowded places, where there's a crowd that's where it is. When meeting with other people, he initiates a dialogue with a question for a question that confuses his opponent and hesitates for the answer himself. The truth that others believe is instantly interrupted by the questioning of Socrates' mouth.

Never tired of asking. Because the question is the bait that catches a person to recognize wisdom.

Athens 4th century BC can be said to be a gloomy period. A group of people dominate people's lives and trap them with marked teachings. Sophism, which is called an intellectual movement, is actually nothing more than a touring car. Armed only with rhetorical skills, they find everything and launch their tricks. The most important thing is to make other people believe their words. Facts and truths can be fabricated. From the game, Sofi asked for compensation in the form of money and services.

The presence of Socrates became a resistance to the sophist tradition. He's not defiant like a goalkeeper who stands under goal waiting for a penalty. But he opposed superficial ideology. Unlike Sofi, Socrates never asked for a reward from any teaching. In fact, he felt he had no teachings and had never taught anything.

Like his mother's work, Socrates called himself a midwife in charge of assisting with childbirth. According to him everyone has the basics of his own knowledge. But not everyone can reach his knowledge. His job is only to help people to know themselves, lead them to find their own knowledge, tapping their own convictions, until they see another light shining brighter.

Socrates is a multiplier. Maybe all of them are worthy of doubt. The world in which humans stand is always curious. His reduced anxiety means he has to move to meet lots of people. Exactly a fly that is everywhere.

Indeed, his nickname flies Bullie. But not every fly is bad, disgusting, and must be expelled. Socrates is a fly that God handled to disturb the country. And the country, to him, is a giant cow that moves slowly because of its size. Cows need flies to tickle them to live and run fast.

But fate said another word. Socrates' behavior formed the new government of Athens. He was accused of poisoning young people and not believing the gods were recognized. Until he is brought to court. 500 people are ready to determine the fate of Socrates. The trial results showed that 280 people agreed that he was sentenced to death. As usual in a democracy, the winner is determined by a majority vote.

He could avoid the death penalty as long as he no longer asked and questioned everything. But he chose his own path and stuck to his principles. It was, "I will not change the place even if he died so many times," his voice was loud in front of the Athenian court at that time. Socrates was never afraid to die, he was never afraid to fight for the truth.

Perhaps this is one of the tests for Socrates. If life that is not tested is a life that is not worth it. Humans must get a test on each of their lives. Trials will make life wiser. Without the test, human life is worthless, and he is nothing more than a body without leaks without life.

Socrates had died thousands of years ago after drinking poison. Is he resting in peace? It seems like he remained calm and happy as well as when he was alive. Pure bliss that settles in the soul and is obtained only by knowledge. Not the temporal pleasures that come from property and wealth, rank and position, and charming appearance and appearance. He remained calm, he remained happy, even though he died from the injustice of the ruler.

In modern times that are also filled with myths and superstitions today, can we continue the wise human character of Athena? Always ask and keep asking. Questions that can find truth and test life. As student Plato said, "the question is half-truth".

And how many questions asked in our heads, disturbing our days? In the massive wave of information flooding social media homepage, have we questioned the veracity of that information, before it gets too far to spread or comment?

ask, then answer, ask again, then look for and find new answers, then ask questions and keep asking questions until it becomes a science
