Georgy was running as fast as he could, deeper and deeper into the misty woods. The winter wind was blowing and the dead leaves were rustling. The sky was covered by the nimbus clouds and some vultures were hovering over his head. After fifteen minutes of tiresome running, Georgy was finally unable to see them. He sat by the frozen river and soon he fell asleep.
Actually it was 31st December, the Christmas Eve. Georgy was excited about the gifts he would receive. Aunt Linda and Uncle Robert went to the cathedral and left Georgy alone, as he wanted to stay back home. Georgy was going through his family album. His mom and dad apparently died a couple of years back in a road accident, at least that's what the investigator said. Their bodies were never found.
Georgy was reminiscing his good years while sitting before the fire place but suddenly he heard the sound of glass breaking. The sound came from the bathroom and he went to have a look. There was two masked men with a big polythene bag and they were wearing all blacks. Georgy tried to scream but before he could do so, a third man caught him from behind and tranquilized him.
After some time when Georgy opened his eyes, he found himself sitting on the back seat of a black car. His mouth was taped, so he licked the tape till it fell off but no one noticed. He acted like he was still asleep. In middle of nowhere the car had a flat tire and the man sitting beside him, opened the door and got down. Georgy took his chance and with forehead full of sweat and widened pupil, he ran towards the woods as fast as he can.
It was already dark when Georgy woke up. He couldn't see anything properly. His only help was the moon light. He looked around and found fireflies all over. It was such a pulchritudinous scene that he almost forgot about his tied hands and all the miseries he had. On looking closely Georgy found a pattern in the glowing and levitating insects. He felt that they were trying to lead him somewhere. He followed the shining flies and halted before a very small wooden ranch. It seemed to him that the fireflies lead him to a safe shelter. He went inside without any hesitation. The floor creaked with every step Georgy took. The room smelled really bad and the wind inside felt very damp. He found a switch and turned it on. A small yellow bulb glowed. When Georgy looked down, he was terrified. Georgy couldn't trust his eyes for what he saw! He saw skeletons! The clothes were still on the bones although torn. A bag was kept beside the lifeless heap of white calcium. He managed to opened the bag and found a picture. It was the same picture from the album which reminds Georgy of the family once he had. He started whimpering which soon transformed to hopeless and painful cries. He flipped the photo and found some lines written.
"Who ever is reading this lines,
Shall be abandoned from the alive shrine.
The one must've some kind of fears,
Which will make him ask for death in tears.
If he denies to die once said by the Lord,
He shall live with an eternal fear in this world"
As soon as Georgy finished reading the lines, the ranch's door closed with a loud shutting noise. After that, all that could be heard was shrieks of the fourteen year old little boy. Now the cops had another body missing........
