When Lot repeatedly failed to order his followers to refrain from this sin, God sent angels to punish them severely. By the command of Allah, the angels overthrew their homeland to destroy this nation. As a result, the sinful nation was crushed to the ground and destroyed. Due to the inversion of the soil, the land here becomes low. Current scientists have found evidence that this place is currently the lowest place on Earth. The incident of this sinful nation of Lot (peace be upon him) is mentioned in Surah Rome of the great book Al-Quran.

They tried unsuccessfully to drown in the Dead Sea water. Many people spend their time reading magazines while lying in the sea.
