Our homeland is Bangladesh. Sujla-Sufla, Shasya-Shyamla Malayaj Shitala is a uniquely beautiful Bangladesh. Sonabar Bangla of the world poet, Bangladesh of Nazrul, Jibanananda-Ruposhi Bangla, the Niko of form is the end - Bangladesh. The form and beauty of the Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, Brahmaputra and Buriganga-washed Bengal are all captivating. Bangladesh is a green country. In the conspiracy season, Bangladesh is decorated in different outfits. This Bangladesh is rich in hundreds of varieties of fruits in the season. The poet has rightly said that you will not find such a country anywhere, the queen of all countries is my homeland.

Food and Nutrition: The main purpose of our diet is to stay healthy, strong and efficient. It is possible to fill the stomach by eating any food but it cannot meet the needs of the body and stay healthy. So we all need to have an idea about real food and nutrition. We are not at all aware of balanced diet due to lack of nutritional knowledge. Not only are those suffering from malnutrition suffering from malnutrition, but the rich and malnourished are also not immune. In this situation, the need for education, training and promotion of nutrition has become very high.

A variety of fruits and vegetables are essential food to replenish the body, provide nutrition and keep the body healthy and wholesome. Without these we cannot think of a balanced diet. Food scientists recommend eating 400 grams of fruits and vegetables per day for an adult. Of these, 110 grams of vegetables, 75 grams of flowers, fruits and stalks, 75 grams of roots and 110 grams of fruits have been seized. Although fruits and vegetables are rich in nutrients, we are deprived of the true qualities of these foods due to preservation, serving and faulty cooking. Eating fruits and vegetables in fresh condition gives more food quality. Adequate amounts of vitamin-C are available in almost all fruits. Vegetables contain significant amounts of vitamin-C, but about 60% of the vitamin C is lost during cooking. Therefore, eating vegetables as a salad can get the full benefit of some other ingredients (vitamins and minerals) including vitamin-lead. However, for those who may have digestive problems by eating raw vegetables, it is better to eat them lightly boiled.

Many of us throw away the peel or peel of fruits like apple, pear, guava, cucumber etc. There is a lot of food waste. It is better not to peel fruits and vegetables if possible. Over ripening results in reduced food quality. Such as ripe papaya to semi-ripe papaya is more nutritious. Moreover, more attention needs to be paid to cleanliness. Fruits and vegetables should be washed well beforehand. Many food ingredients / vitamins are mixed with water when washed before and after cutting. Many people boil water to reduce the bitter taste of karla. By no means is it healthy. Hands, utensils and utensils need to be washed well before cutting vegetables. Chopping vegetables is a waste of nutrients, so it is necessary to keep the vegetable pieces large. Many people think that cooking is better if you add more oil and spices. But less oil-spices and less perfect is good for health. It is not right to cook with the mouth of the pot open, it is better to cook it with moderate oil and spices and cover it well. Of course, it is not right to cover fat food. It is better to eat hot after cooking. Food should be eaten hot after playing. Eating khichuri cooked with various vegetables including rice pulses is very good from the health point of view. It protects nutrition, saves both time and is also excellent as food.

Fruit is an integral part of our ancient heritage. The need for fruit, forest and medicinal trees for multidimensional contribution including prevention of natural disasters, meeting food needs, supply of nutrients, development of talents and enhancement of disease resistance is immense. The fruit brings strength to the body, brings peace to the mind; One of the best sources of vitamins and minerals. One person needs to eat 150-200 grams of fruit every day. At present the per capita fruit production in our country is about 70-75 grams which is very inadequate compared to the demand. In this context, it is necessary to increase the cultivation of our conventional fruits as well as unconventional fruits such as Anta, Sharifa, Safeda, Dewa, Gab, Kaufal, Khudijam, Latkan etc.

We have a rich fruit collection. At present about 60 types of fruits are grown in Bangladesh.According to the Department of Agricultural Extension, in the year 2015-16, the main fruits of Bangladesh such as mango, jackfruit, litchi, guava, banana, papaya, apple kul, pineapple, coconut and all other fruits were cultivated in a total area of 620,000 hectares of land. Production is about 110 lakh 30Thousands of May.Tons. But due to lack of conservation, about 33 percent of the fruit is lost every year (Dr. Rahim, Our Time - May 2018). The annual demand for 150 grams of fruit per person per day is about 6 lakh May. Tons. But due to lack of conservation, about 20-30 lakh tons of fruits have to be imported every year. According to one statistic, we should eat 48-50 kg of fruit per person per 150 grams daily, but we are eating only 28-30 kg.

About 80% of the fruits currently produced in Bangladesh are produced in 4-5 months of the year (April-July) and the remaining 40% in 6-7 months of the year (August-February). In our country, a variety of foreign fruits can be seen in fruit shops throughout the year. However, in the crowd of these foreign fruits, we have almost lost the little ones known as Khude Jam, Golapjam, Dewa, Gab, Latkan, Ata, Kadbel. But these native fruits are very rich in color, variety, nutrition and taste. Therefore, we have to be enterprising to increase the cultivation of these native fruits. However, the Department of Agricultural Extension is currently playing an important role in the expansion of fruit cultivation. Oranges in Sylhet are now being cultivated in three hill districts. Summer pineapples are now available almost all year round. Production of Thai Guava and Apple Cool has also increased significantly. Therefore, in order to meet the nutritional needs and to live a healthy life, nutritious fruits must be added to the daily diet by changing the eating habits along with the cereals.

A healthy woman and man need 2400 and 2600 calories of food daily respectively to maintain good health. According to nutritionists, a person can consume 250-300 grams of rice, 150-200 grams of meat (fish / meat), 1 egg, 250 grams of milk, 35-40 grams of fat / oil, 250 grams of vegetables and fruits per day. 150-200 grams, fibrous foods (peas, pulses, beans, skin fruits, nuts)Etc.) 100 grams and the amount of water (at least 2.5 liters / 10-12 glasses) should be consumed.Studies have shown that about 40 different nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, salt and water, are essential for a healthy body and prevent disease.

For food security, first of all we have to reduce the dependence on rice. There is a method of eating less rice. People from China, Japan and Korea first started eating a variety of vegetables. Then the granular food eats bread or rice then ends with fruit or fruit juice. We can start eating with at least a glass of water. This will definitely reduce the amount of rice eaten. It is extremely good for health. Just a little habit change needed. Therefore, it is very important to increase the production of nutritious food to maintain good health and food security. We must be aware of a balanced and nutritious diet. In this we will be physically well, we will not suffer from malnutrition and we will not have to go to the doctor. People from China, Japan, South Korea and other developed countries do not have to go to such a place.

Impact of adulterated food: Unplanned use of pesticides is destroying insects, natural enemies of pests and diseases. Pesticide tolerance of enemy insects is increasing. Arbitrary use of pesticides in crops, mixing of various harmful chemicals (formalin, carbide) in fruits and fish is causing human cancer Ñ blood cancer, brain cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, etc. Due to adulteration of food, people are suffering from complex diseases like gastric, ulcer, heart disease, blindness, kidney disease, diabetes, age disease etc. Humans and other animals have become helpless today. Lead in the air, arsenic in the water, cadmium in rice, formalin in fish, carbide in fruit, various harmful garments in fruit juices, chromium in chicken - poisons and poisons everywhere. Where do we go? According to one statistic, food adulteration kills 7.9 million people a year in South Asia alone, which is why we need adulterated food (DHEN, June 21-2014)

Fruit tree planting: There is no alternative to planting trees to prevent temperature and warming and to maintain the balance of the environment. Trees provide us with precious oxygen and take in the polluted carbon-di-oxide gas that we breathe. Therefore, in order to maintain the balance of the environment, a country needs to have 25% of the total area of trees and forests, whereas at present our country has only 10612%. To overcome this problem, the government is putting a lot of emphasis on tree planting. The Prime Minister has advised everyone to plant at least three trees. Among them are a fruit, a forest and a herb. But some of our unscrupulous decisions have led some aggressive species of trees to lead the country to desertification. Kadai trees are being planted on both sides of the road all over the country, especially in Sirajganj. The leaves of that tree are easily decomposed, the birds do not nest, the bees do not extract honey, and our groundwater is absorbed and blown away, leading to rapid desertification. As a result, the groundwater level is constantly falling, so it is easy to predict an increase in the amount of arsenic and other toxins in the water. Instead, we planted fruit trees (mango, blackberry, banana, litchi, guava, jackfruit, palm, date, etc.) with fast growing Belgium, Acacia, Epil-Epil, Mahogany, etc. to improve the environment and meet the demand for fruits. Problem solvingCan doAnd if it is possible, 'the country will be filled with fruit trees, Bangladesh will change'.
