The word 'environment day' seems to be planted in my head. Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year. The monsoon season in Bangladesh starts from the middle of June. Which is suitable for planting trees at once. So I have been watching tree planting activities on the occasion of Environment Day from primary school. Once upon a time, on the occasion of Paribesh Day, a free tree distribution program was started among the students of the primary school from the forest department. So the idea of planting trees on the occasion of Environment Day still comes to mind first. But the question is, is the tree synonymous with the environment? Trees are one of the elements of the environment? Or are trees just enough to protect the environment?
Let's take a look at the definition of Environment Day. I have learned from childhood that ‘we are surrounded by what is around us.’ Are there only trees around us; Never! In addition to the trees around us, there are various natural elements. Numerous elements including plants, animals, soil, air, rivers, canals, hills, forests. However, it is true that trees are one of the many elements of nature around us. We become more familiar with trees. It is also true that trees save us. Because if trees stopped producing oxygen, many oxygen-dependent animals, including humans, would die. So planting trees can definitely be a good way to keep the environment good and healthy. However, the environment as a whole will be good and healthy when we take care and responsibility towards the trees as well as the trees around us, including the grass, shrubs, soil, air, rivers, canals, small and large animals. If we are responsible and careful, we will not destroy them, we will be vocal so that no one can destroy them.
Planting trees is not the only way to keep the environment clean, pure and healthy; But that is not enough. In addition to trees, other natural elements should be taken care of. In nature, people have to take initiative to keep a grass, a shrub, a small animal, a big animal well. Not only that. The soil also needs to be taken care of so that the trees, grasses and shrubs are strong and fresh. Rivers, canals and canals are also to be taken care of. Because each of the natural elements is interdependent. When a natural element becomes extinct, its effect falls on other elements as well. Therefore, in order to make the environment beautiful, good, pure and pure, we have to know, know and understand every element of the environment and nature. Like trees, other elements need to be taken care of, preserved and propagated and developed. The theme of this year's Environment Day 2018 is to know, understand and comprehend the environment and nature. Because this time the topic is encouraging people to live close to nature or with nature. The theme "Connect with Nature", which the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is celebrating under the title "I am nature, nature is mine", has given us the opportunity to perceive nature as it is.
The Creator created nature in a variety of ways. If this diversity is lost, if it is lost, the environment will be damaged. People would be wrong to think only of us as ‘us’, while we mean other souls and elements. Again ‘around’ means the various elements and creations of the universe. In order to keep the environment good and clean, man has to take care of people like him, just as he has to adopt every creation of nature. Because every element of the environment is interdependent. But nature's plants, animals and people will be more dependent on each other when nature is rich in diversity. The relationship between them is strengthened around the various elements of this diversity. If the interrelationship is strong, every element of the environment and nature will be good and will develop. For example, birds come in contact with different plants because they have fruits and flowers. He grew up eating those flowers and fruits. They give birth to these plants in other areas through feces by eating the fruits and flowers of those plants; Further develops diversity. Again, since there are many small plants and animals in the forest, from insects to large animals, they come in contact with those small plants and animals; They nurture them as they take them as food so that they do not have any problem with food. Thus the interrelationship and interdependence between them is established. The various elements of nature, be it food, medicine or fruit, are exchanged and shared with each other to create human relationships and dependencies. In the analysis of the suffixes 'us' and 'around' we understand that 'environment' means the various elements and souls of nature including human beings. In order to keep the environment good, to keep it healthy and to purify it, one has to be careful and responsible towards every soul and element.
Translating the theme of 2018 into Bengali, it stands for 'the vibration of life
