Saltolin® Nebulizer Solution - Sultolin®
⍟⍟ Ingredients: Saltolin nebulizer solution: 2.5 ml each. The ampoule of the nebulizer solution contains salbutamol sulfate BP which is 2.5 mg of salbutamol. Its equivalent.
⍟⍟ Directions: Salbutamol is a selective beta-2 agonist that causes short-term (4-6 hours) bronchial dilation in a very firm way (within 3 minutes) in reversible airway obstruction.
Dosage and administration: Saltolin nebulizer solution is used only by inhalation, which should be taken through a nebulizer machine. This solution cannot be taken orally or by injection. Adults: 2.5 mg. To 5 mg. Salbutamol up to 4 times a day. 40 mg a day in hospital. Can be used with up to observation. Children over 4 years of age: 2.5 mg. To 5 mg. Up to 4 times a day. 18 months 4 year old child: 2.5 mg. Up to 4 times a day. Which is 5 mg as required. Can be extended up to. Children below 18 months: 1.25 mg. (0.25 mg / kg) to 2.5 mg. Up to 4 times a day. In case of transient hypoxia, oxygen therapy should be given.
⍟⍟ Directions: Use of salbutamol through respiratory tract to manage premature labor is not appropriate. It is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to any of its components.
Caution: In patients with severe or unstable asthma, bronchodilators should not be the only or main treatment. Saltolin can take other bronchial dilators to relieve symptoms in time with nebulizer solution, increasing use of bronchial dilators indicates deterioration of asthma control. In this case, patients should seek medical advice. Salbutamol should be taken with caution in patients with thyrotoxicosis. If heart patients (such as ischemic heart disease, erythrocytes or severe heart failure) take salbutamol if chest pain or other symptoms of heart disease occur. However, the advice of a doctor must be taken. Salbutamol should be taken with caution when taking high doses of other sympathomimetic drugs. Hypokalemia is more likely to occur when taking beta-2 agonist therapy, especially through parenteral and nebulizer. Caution should be exercised in cases of severe asthma. This is because hypoxia, as well as the use of xanthine derivatives, steroids and diuretics, may increase the response. In this case the serum potassium label should be observed. Patients should know the instructions for taking it properly and be careful not to let the solution or vapor enter the eye.
During pregnancy and lactation: Medication should be taken only if the mother benefits more than the possible harm to the fetus during pregnancy. There is little published evidence of safety in the use of salbutamol in the early stages of pregnancy. But in the case of animals, there is evidence of harmful effects on the fetus in high doses.
Side effects: As with other respiratory therapies, paradoxical bronchospasm may occur with increased show noise in the chest after taking the dose. It needs to be treated with an effective diffuser through an alternative or other quick-acting respirator.
⍟⍟ Supply: Each box contains 10 ampoules of blister pack.
