Business needs Confidence
Business needs confidence at any stage or place of contract business always needs confidence. At first whats Business?
Business is an individual occupation, trade, profession or commercial activities and individuals or group of people get into so that they can feed their self and their family.
Business started during the TRADE BY BATER period whereby they exchange goods for goods and services for services until now that there is money as medium of exchange and store of wealth. The idea of money has medium of exchange eradicate the ideal of TRADE BY BATER as its stressful.
What’s Confidence?
Confidence is the belief that one can have faith or rely on something that will be beneficial to one. E.g Business.
Lack of confidence can destroy a lot of things in business, business can even liquidate because of lack of confidence. Business comprises of many things but major it needs confidence so it grow and continue growing.
I met a man two days ago at market he’s a printer. And he was crying because he didn’t have confidence in his business not that he can’t do his job perfectly but he is afraid to talk to his customer.
The story of the man and his customer
The man meet his customer at his brother’s shop although it’s 3 months ago they started negotiating about the contract, the customer wants 100 pieces of jotter and 200 pieces of Books for his father’s burial ceremony so as at that time the business called the price of #80,000 which is almost $200 the man agreed about the price and he said he needs the job done by December that his father burial ceremony is 24 of December okay business day no problem as far as he has paid the price. A month before December the customer make the payment and the man told him that they is increase in price that he can’t accept the price anymore.
The man then add additional #20,000 almost $50 for the job and the customer pay the money so the man was able to deliver the the jotter and couldn’t deliver the Books because the money isn’t enough because of the high inflation in the country.
The customer intends to pick the Books December 18 but he postponed it to December 22 because the man hasn’t finished the job mean while he doesn’t know that the amount the man charged isn’t enough to complete the job.
The business man was busy crying that he made a lose in a business that he isn’t amateur in but it’s long time that he has to to buy materials. On 22 of December the customer come to the man and started shouting at him that he will arrest he he doesn’t deliver the job in hours time and the man stars to cry that he made lose and he has no money again to finish the job but the customer didn’t listen until an old man told him to calm down and they settled the matter that they will help him to runs the contract with immediate effects but he will pay for the all the money incurred and he accepted well at this point I left they for my work.
IN CONCLUSION
if the business has have the confidence to call the man and told him in a peace and respectful way that there is very high inflation in price that he can’t finish the job with the amount the called for him before it would have been better and things will have been solve amicably.
