When you talk of sports that have cemented their grounds as one of the popular and richest sport, then golf is definitely up the list. It has grown popularity over the years that it is backed by some of the wealthiest personalities in the world till date. While golf isn’t really my thing, I still like the sport to some extent. One of the most fascinating thing for me about watching golf is the ability for the golfer to stroke the ball into a small hole with pin point accuracy… The skills, calculations and accuracy level is up the roof… that is why most of the golf players are matured head.
Unlike indoor sports (my favorite), golf is an outside sport played on an open field. For those who don’t know what golf is (I doubt that) – Golf is basically a club and ball sport in which the players known as the golfers hit the golf balls with a tool called the golf club into series of holes with as few strokes as possible. The more skilled and accurate a golfer is, the more it is possible for the player to pot the balls in the holes with few strokes. One of the most difficult sport to play in my opinion as it requires a lot of skills to be anywhere good enough.
I enjoy watching others play golf even though it isn’t really my thing… While I wish I know how to play golf at least to be able to compete with friends, it is not something I would day dream about. Like I said earlier, golf is probably ranked as the richest sport – the amount of money that flows into golf is insane. At the moment, golf harbors some of the wealthiest people in the world. That is to show you why the sport has been growing at an increasing rate and why it is becoming more popular and popular across the world.
I can remember clearly back in the days when I watched competitive golf game on TV… It was so fun and the golfers competing were so skilled and accurate that I could only imagine how long it must have taken them to get to that level… to be able to hit a ball with the club so far and still manage to find the hold. That was and is still incredible. This is probably one of the reasons why I enjoy watching golf, just to see how the players exercise their technical and calculative skills.
