• 1st: skim through the table of contents, skim through every page, look at visuals, learn how the topic builds upon one another.

• 2nd: read without judgment, when you first read, don’t judge the book instantly, just keep reading and observing.

• 3rd: after reading the entire book, start writing notes, where you point out your criticism of the book.
