To those who did not have this experience in communism, you say it in vain. They have no way to understand, as children in Romania born after 1990 in Romania do not understand, even if their parents lived in that repressive society.
Great articles and this reminds me of my childhood. Even if I got a sense of the communism, I am glad to have caught the Revolution in time to free from that and move to capitalism. There is a sense of freedom now that I cannot explain through words what it really represents for the Romanian people.
I know, have the same feeling. Able to speak out or travel without constraint is priceless.
