The auction for John McAfee’s avatar will start tomorrow, allowing players to use it in Chain Clash, a game based on the EOS blockchain:
For those who don’t know, Chain Clash is a fighting game in which different users, using an avatar, can clash in an arena. The avatars are associated to different blockchains such as TRX, EOS, BCH, ETH and BTC, which allows to see which blockchain the various users prefer.
The company, in order to promote the spread of Chain Clash, has decided to create avatars representing famous people in the blockchain and crypto world, starting with Crystal Rose – whose avatar has reached the value of 1000 EOS – which was followed by Brock Pierce‘s avatar which, with a value of 1731 EOS, is the most expensive NFT (Non Fungible Token) on the EOS blockchain.
These avatars are valuable because they are NFTs and so there will only be one copy of each with those features and, since they are auctioned, it’s possible to reach really high figures for these digital assets.
As said, the auction to buy John McAfee’s avatar will start on January 28th, 2020 and will end on February 3rd. The minimum starting price is 1 EOS. The final price is obviously difficult to predict, especially because McAfee is very well known and has behind him a lot of incredible events that will affect the final value reached by the auction, probably even surpassing the figures we saw for Brock Pierce’s avatar.
Videogames and blockchain
As seen many times, the gaming sector is a fast-growing market that is likely to be crucial for the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies.
There are even games that teach how to program dApps, which are decentralized blockchain-based applications, such as Cryptozombies.
Funny! :0)
