The EvoNet testnet is a public infrastructure that allows the testing of features provided by Evolution and will be released on December 30th.
A peculiarity of this structure is to be able to test the new features included in the development of the Dash platform so as not to flood the blockchain and monitor in detail the related test errors.
With the new update called Dash Evolution, developers will introduce the possibility to have usernames on the blockchain, as a way to simplify the management of user accounts.
Recently Dash has also developed DashPay, an app inspired by the work of Venmo, which gives the community the ability to easily carry out transactions with improved privacy compared to other cryptocurrencies.
Thanks to these tests on the EvoNet platform, the range of action of this blockchain will be widened as it will go from being a privacy-centric payment method to having a whole platform based on blockchain which can be implemented in different sectors.
Moreover, the Dash team has recently made significant progress. During the last period, for instance, it had to work to mitigate 51% attacks, while in the previous months, it has also been listed on Coinbase Pro as well as on the Pionex platform a couple of weeks ago.
Currently, the cryptocurrency is trading at around $39 and is located at position 26 on CoinMarketCap.
All that is left now is to wait a couple of days to find out all the updates related to the EvoNet platform. The end of the year will bring a breath of fresh air and set the stage for a very interesting 2020 for Dash.
