Crypto prices 2 years after ATH - The Cryptonomist
Two years ago, on December 17th, 2017, the All-Time High (ATH) of many crypto assets was recorded, including bitcoin: during those days, BTC exceeded the price of 20 thousand dollars.
After 2 years, the euphoria of those days has changed and evolved and, from the point of view of price, things have definitely changed. As a reference, we will take the price on December 17th, 2017 of some of the cryptocurrencies, using the data made available by CoinMarketCap.
Let’s start from bitcoin (BTC) that, on that day, reached the maximum value of 20,089 dollars, while today its price amounted to $7,080 per unit, thus losing about 65%.
Ethereum (ETH), on the same day, recorded a price of $696, but its ATH is found about a month later, on January 13th, 2018, when it reached a value of $1432; today it is traded at $141, with a loss of 80%.

We skip Tether (USDT) as it is a stablecoin, and move on to the next position with Bitcoin Cash (BCH) which marked $1801 on December 17th and three times that amount on December 20th, 2017, reaching $4355. Today this crypto is traded for $205, losing almost 89%. Moreover, Bitcoin Cash was forked in November 2018, which led to the creation of Bitcoin Satoshi Vision. BSV is currently worth $92.
In sixth place there is the crypto Litecoin (LTC), which was traded for $298 and, only 2 days later, on December 19th, 2017, reached its ATH at $375. Today, however, it is traded at $43, which represents a loss of 85%.
As far as the EOS crypto is concerned, two years ago it didn’t exceed $10, but the following year, on April 29th, 2018, it recorded its ATH with $22.89, although unfortunately today it barely exceeds $2.55, recording a loss of 74%.
