A few minutes ago came the tweet to clear skies from Binance, famous exchange, that from today you can deposit your ZILs to get an interest on them:

In fact the staking of Zilliqa (ZIL) had been announced some time ago by the theme itself and that it had started a pilot phase with several exchanges and that they would be started gradually and users have been able to experience this new form of use of their tokens, although some limitations dictated by the size of the pool that goes to influence the interest.
Exchanges started to open pools and decide how to manage these tokens since with too many tokens it was not convenient in the end to do staking because of the ridiculous rate that was reached, and in some pools it reached 2%.
This problem was raised by several users just when Binance had put the percentage starting from 0%, and actually forced the team to review and improve its staking system in order to allow everyone to receive at least a good rate.
And it is here that Binance has chosen a different policy than other exchanges where the pool is free and without limits, since in this case Binance has provided 3 types of pools at 7, 14 and 30 days, so the tokens will be blocked for that period, and respectively will get 5%, 7.5% and 10%, and another limit that has been set is to deposit a minimum of 5 thousand ZIL and maximum 25 thousand, so we see that there is a kind of barrier for all those who have figures lower than those numbers.
If we do a quick calculation we can estimate that at the current price of $0.017, you need at least $85 to be able to access these pools, so not an excessive figure and that still allows in the long run to get good numbers if blocked for a month at the rate of 10%.
The window for this staking is very narrow because it has been preferred to take advantage of the strategy of whoever arrives first gets better accommodation, since the pools are closed number and just tomorrow they all close and will start counting from today for interest.
Someone can turn up their nose because you have not given a notice in advance but you have opened everything under the radar, just to avoid attracting too many bees on the honey, but this denotes as if on the one hand the staking is interesting, it means that they are cut off a lot of users who may not take it well, both for the little time available you a for the minimum required, conditions completely taken arbitrarily.
