A court in the Zionist state of Israel has ordered the demolition of a mosque in the holy city of Jerusalem.
The court on Monday ordered the demolition of the Kakka Bin Amr Mosque in Silwan. News from Anadolu and Al Jazeera.
The mosque authorities will have 21 days to appeal against the order. The Palestinians have called on Muslim countries around the world, including the Arab League and the OIC, to come forward to stop Israeli aggression.
Hundreds of devotees prayed in the two-storey mosque built in 2012. An order was also issued in 2015 to demolish the mosque. But in the end it was not broken.
Khaled Abu Taih, a member of the Silvan Land Protection Committee, said occupying Israel had been targeting the mosque for several years. Earlier, the mosque was fined and attempts were made to stop the work of the mosque.
The Israeli authorities have recently intensified their campaign of destruction in Jerusalem. Dozens of Palestinian homes have been demolished in the Silwan area.
