If dreams were true,
This thought would not just be in my heart
So at this hour of the day
Sitting wishfully thinking beyond continents
My hope for poverty liberation
If dreams were true
I would be at the Arrival Lounge
Undergoing immigration palaver with The Whites,
Or them welcoming me to the land of Liberty.
And you,by my side
My struggling Nigerian Soul Brothers
Toiling day and night
Just to have a Mere Papers
With the heads of past rulers
Rulers before and after Abe Lincoln
But dreams are hardly true
And this somnolent sojourn overseas
In the arms of icy and cold night
That lives nothing but struggle
Lives me thinking,
My shortest way to "God own country".
Lovely
