Eve teasing is an ultramodern nuisance in our modern life. It has become the greastest social problem nowaday. A number of innocent girls have already committed sucide around the country being victims of this social evil. Many guardians and teachers are also being torture, even killed by the teasers. So, it is a crying need to stand aganist eve teasing. School and College going girls, female teachers and working women especially become victims of eve teasers on the streets. They are teased in different ways.these include use of slange languag, singing irritating songs, making vulgar movement of the limbs, offering flying kiss, taking snaps, coming unexpectedly in physically contact etc. Working women are also teased in the above ways sometimes in their working places. Evschoolsing started increasing rapidly when more and more women started going out independently for education or work. But actually this is not the main reason. Rathe, moral degradation and gender discrimination are the main reasons behind eve teasing. Beside, lack of suitable laws to punish the teasers makes it worse. Eve teasing leaves deep psychological effects on the victim. This often results in suicid. Beside, often it is associated with rape and murder. It also increase drop- out rate of girls from school. To prevent eve teasing first of all, moral education should be ensured. In the family male or famale Relationship should be explained clearly to the childre. Socially awareness raising programme regarding eve teasing should be launche. Beside, empowerment of women should be ensured through eradicating gender discriminatio.
