Almost everyone knows when the rainbow happens. When the sun rises during the rain, the rainbow rises. Occasionally there is a rainbow at the head of a high waterfall or waterfall. That means it's clear, the rainbow needs water, and it needs sun.

Now the question is, what is the rainbow when the sun and rain? Much like that; However, the sun has to be at a slight angle. So the rainbow did not rise in Bharadupura. Because, then the sun is very steep, there is no plague in Konakuni. A special religion of light is responsible for the rainbow. One is called refraction of light.

It doesn't take any medium for light to continue. So even if there is no matter between the sun and the earth, light can come from the sun to the earth. But whenever light enters the earth's atmosphere, various substances move in its path — various gases, dust, and much more. All these are substances or mediums. When you come through these, the light bends a little bit. This bending of light is called refraction of light.

Now, there is a lot of water vapor in the air when it rains. This means that there is more matter or medium in the path of light than at any other time. As a result, the reflection of light is more when the sun comes. Not all colors of light can be seen separately as the refraction or bending of light is not very much at such a time. The color that is more curved can be seen.

But this refraction is much higher during rains. Because, water vapor or water is a little heavier than all the other substances or mediums in the atmosphere. Then all the colors of light bend a lot. As a result, the seven colors in the sun's rays can be seen separately vio violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red.

In Bengali, the first letter of the name of these colors is abbreviated as 'Beniasahkala'. The first letters in English are called VIBGYOR.

Now the question is, when the light is bent, why can seven colors be seen separately? The wavelengths of these seven different colors of light are also different. The light has a different color because the wavelength is different. Now the amount of curvature of each light is also different for this different wavelength. This kind of red light bends at an angle of 42 degrees. Again the purple light bends at a 40 degree angle. The lights of other colors bend in different amounts between 40 and 42 degrees. This is why the colors are always seen in a certain row in the rainbow.

But the most interesting thing about the rainbow is that the rainbow never grows alone. I mean, the rainbow is always two! Another rainbow rises just above the real one. Of course, it is less bright than the real rainbow, and the colors are in reverse. The light in the middle of these two rainbows is a little less than in other parts of the sky. Of course, the rainbow number two and the less illuminated part in the middle are not very clearly visible. They can only be seen if the sky is much clearer and there is enough light.
