Selina Hossain was born on 14 June 1947 in Rajshahi. His father, A.K. Mosharraf Hossain, mother Maryammennesa Bakul.In 1962, he joined P.N. She passed secondary from Girls High School and higher secondary from Rajshahi Women's College in 1964. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Bengali language and literature from Rajshahi University. During his career he retired from the post of director of the Bangla Academy. Selina Hossain is a famous novelist. The sense of non-communal life, the spirit of the liberation war, women's liberation are the basic narratives of her fiction. He has received many awards and honors including Bangla Academy Award, Alaol Sahitya Puraskar and Phillips Sahitya Puraskar for his outstanding contribution in the field of literature.
