Satyendranath Dutta

Satyendranath Dutt was born in 1882 in the village of Nimata near Calcutta. His grandfather was Akshay Kumar Dutt, editor of Tattvabodhini and a prominent nineteenth-century essayist. Satyendranath B.A. Studied up to class. He used to practice poetry since his student days. He was fond of various subjects like philosophy, science, history, language, religion etc. He spent a lot of time in his daily life studying and practicing poetry. Sabita Sandhikshan Benu O Veena, Kuhu O Keka, Avro-Abir, Belashesher Gaan, Bidaay Aarti Basic Poems. He has shown extraordinary skill in creating rhythms. This is why he became known as the King of Rhythm. He passed away in 1922 at the age of 40.
