Kamal Chowdhury was born on 28 January 1957 in Vijayakara village of Chauddagram upazila of Comilla district. His father Ahmad Hossain Chowdhury and mother Begum Tahera Hossain. He passed SSC from Godnail High School, Narayanganj in 1973 and HSC from Dhaka College in 1975. He later obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees with honors in sociology from Dhaka University. In 2006, she earned a PhD by researching the maternal habitat practices of the Garo people. He is currently in government service. His poems are an evocative way of life, struggle and human feeling of Bengalis, as well as a brilliant expression of artistic variety. Aware of words and rhythm and prone to observation, this poet is one of the main representatives of the refined genre in Bengali poetry.
