Bharatchandra Raigunakar

Bharat Chandra Raigunakar was born in 1712 in the village of Pero in Vurshut Pargana of Hooghly district. His father was a zamindar of Vurshut Pargana. At the age of only twenty, he learned Sanskrit and Persian. He was a court poet of King Krishnachandra Roy of Navadwip.Satyapir wrote poems and various poems like Panchali, Rasamanjari, Annadamangal, Nagastok, Gangarstok, Chandinatak etc. Bharatchandra Mangal is one of the best poets of the genre And Annadamangal is his best book of poetry. He is known for his use of words, rhythms, rhetoric and high quality poetry. He died in 1760.
