Atiya Mosque is an ancient historical mosque located in Delduar upazila of Tangail district in Bangladesh which is one of the archeological monuments of Bangladesh. This mosque was built in the sixteenth century and regular congregational prayers are performed here. At present the Archaeological Department of the Government of Bangladesh is supervising the installation.

The original inscriptions found in the Tangail area include an Arabic and a Persian inscription found in the Atia Jame Mosque area, However, there is some inconsistency in the information about the construction period of the mosque. The inscription kept in the National Museum of Bangladesh gives the date of construction as 1019 AH (1610-11 AD) but another inscription on the central entrance mentions its date of construction as 1018 AH (1608-9 AD).

The word ‘Atiya’ originates from the Arabic ‘Ata’, which literally means ‘donated’. Ali Shahan Shah: When Baba Adam Kashmiri was appointed as the Jagirdar of Tangail District by Sultan Alauddin Hussain Shah, he came and settled in this area.At that time, he received the adjoining area as a donation or waqf from Solaiman Karrani, an Afghan resident of Karrani, for the propagation of Islam and to meet the incidental expenses. And this area was named 'Atiya' because he donated this area to him.

Later, on the advice of Baba Adam Kashmiri, a Sufi devotee named Saeed Khan Panni was appointed by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir as the ruler of the Atiya Pargana. It was Saeed Khan Panni who built the Atia Mosque in 1608 the tomb of Baba Adam Kashmiri.

Muhammad Khan, a renowned architect at the time, was involved in the planning and construction of the mosque.Raushan Khatun Chowdhurani renovated the mosque in 1837 and Abul Ahmed Khan Ghaznabi in 1909. The mosque was later acquired by the Bangladesh government as an archeological site.

Built of red brick, the mosque is quite small in size, measuring only 18.29 m (59 ft) x 12.19 m (40 ft) and with a wall thickness of 2.23 m (7.5ft). It has four octagonal minarets at its four corners, the upper part of which has the shape of a small dome.

Sultani and Mughal — there are clear examples of the architectural style of these two periods in the construction style of this mosque.

There was a picture of Atiya Masjid on one side of the 10 (ten) taka note printed by Bangladesh Bank which was prevalent in Bangladesh earlier.
