We celebrate 6th June as 6 point day. The year 2020 has emerged as a unique year in the life of Bengalis. This year is very important for us, the people of Bangladesh. A massive program was organized to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Not only in Bangladesh, but also the expatriate Bengalis all over the world were preparing. UNESCO decided to celebrate the day and the UN member states also made preparations. The United Nations has already issued a commemorative stamp.
Just when such a massive event was going on, a worldwide epidemic appeared. A contagious disease called coronavirus or covid-19 is infecting the world in such a way that almost all the countries of the world are affected by it and all economic, social and cultural activities have come to a standstill. Bangladesh is also not free from this virus. In this situation, we are carrying out the program only through radio, television or digital by canceling all the activities in the public interest, especially where public gatherings can take place.
Happy Celebrations 👋
