Assalam O Aalaikum
Loneliness isn't only a matter of being on my own. The monk with his vow of silence won't sense lonely; the character in an uncongenial group might also sense very lonely certainly. The richness of life lies within the companionship of someone with whom one has an emotional connection and possibly a bodily courting, one that thinks in like phrases and talks the identical language. It is someone whose views on different human beings, the arena in standard, and God coincide. Unmarried people often find this in mother and father, so the loss of parents is perhaps unduly worrying in their case.
Waalaykumusallam.
