Chelsea's hope of getting a competitor for Kepa is gradually fading away as Mendy has returned to training with Rennes after talks to get him by Chelsea has fallen out once more.
Chelsea are faced with the taunting dilemma of a goalie as Kepa is becoming a disaster between the sticks. Kepa's confidence is of keeping his spot between the sticks is also shaky and Chelsea are desperately looking for a replacement for him.
Rennes have once again increased their asking price from £20m to £36m and that is definitely not a good deal for Chelsea.
