History is created by risk-takers not doubting sissies.
Early bitcoin investors like @RogerVer and our munificent @MarcDeMesel took on the risk of investing in Bitcoin in earlier years, and today, they are reaping the fruit of a good risk taken. Many others took on the risk of investing in Bitcoin and today they talk about the Bitcoin adventure with a big smile. Here is Bitcoin cash, still very young and ripe for plucking, why don't you get aboard today? If things go well; and I'm optimistic it would, you will be telling your grandchildren and even great-grandchildren about this Bitcoin cash adventure with big smiles.
But you need to get aboard, and when you do, contribute to the growth of the currency by promoting it to your family and friends and when they do join, ask them to do the same.
Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin cash is a decentralized peer-to-peer digital cash system. The ability of Bitcoin cash (BCH) to facilitate reliable, fast, and very low transaction fees gives it an edge over the more popular 2017 hard fork counterpart Bitcoin core (BTC) which no longer reflects the original vision of Bitcoin blockchain by having small blocks, expensive and slow transactions. Though less popular and of lower price value and network effect, one thing is vivid; the original vision and revolutionary idea of peer-to-peer digital cash are very much alive with Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
Essentially, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a more reliable and proficient blockchain than Bitcoin (BTC), on this score, it could become the main chain for making online transactions and payments. Bitcoin Cash is still relatively new - there are only three and a half years, and most of that time was filled with events, especially the fork of 2018, that impacted the price and it didn't get to follow its natural flow. The hard fork of 2018 led to the creation of Bitcoin SV (BSV) as well as a hash war that knocked BCH value to a low of $80.
Since then, BCH price has had some good recovery, but it has been revolving around its launch price, and much far from its ATH.
What will drive the price of Bitcoin Cash Forward?
Several factors have an impact on the price of crypto, but the community is everything. For a coin to flourish, it needs to hold relevance to a large number of people. It’s simply not enough to be a better version. Bitcoin core (BTC) may have deviated from the original blockchain vision and might not be the best crypto relative to speed and transaction cost. But it is the first and most popular with a substantial community who believe in it.
That means stronger surrounding infrastructure. More awareness. More developers working to improve the software. More revisions and updates. More media coverage. More trust and stability. More motivation for regulators to take a sensible approach. More high-fives in the corridor on the way to the next class.
It would take a lot for Bitcoin Cash to attain that advantage built up over a decade.
The key to a healthy peer-to-peer digital cash system like Bitcoin Cash is a larger user base. That's why some projects like read.cash and noise.cash and campaigns like the "Bitcoin Cash 1M" have been created to spread awareness, spread BCH to as many people as possible and onboard millions of people to increase the community of BCH users.
Creating Awareness
More popular coins in Nigeria are Bitcoin and Etherem. To onboard more Nigerians to Bitcoin cash (BCH), there is a need to create awareness and teach people how to get started. There are so many unbanked Nigerians with access to Smartphone, and that's all they need and internet data to get started. For those that can't afford to invest, there are platforms to earn Bitcoin Cash with little effort - thanks to read.cash and noise.cash.
One of my goals as a member of the read.cash and Bitcoin cash ecosystem is to promote Bitcoin cash towards achieving mass adoption. And one of the steps towards this is mass awareness and onboarding more users.
The strategy:
1. Word of Mouth
I plan to promote Bitcoin cash to my friends and family. I'm yet to start this as I'm new to the community, still learning, and hoping to earn so I can have what to show and find for my campaign. I plan to send some BCH, no matter how small, to any user I will directly onboard. They will have to download the Bitcoin.com wallet and receive some funds from me. With that, I will teach them how to store, send and receive BCH.
2. Social Media
I also plan to promote Bitcoin cash on various social media. I have already created groups, pages, handles, and channels on different social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, and WhatsApp. I have only created them a few days back but they have had little to no activity yet. Plans are in place to get them active. The account name or username for most of these platforms is @BCHNigeria.
3. Projects
Humanitarian projects geared towards promoting Bitcoin Cash. A simple one on my mind at the moment is distributing BCH customized shirts to people. When they wear them, it's a form of promotion. I will add resource links to the shirts for people who are interested in knowing more. Aside from random distribution, it will also be given to specific individuals who are willing to learn and promote Bitcoin cash in their environment. This is just one out of a few more ideas.
The third point will need financing, which I don't have at the moment, so for now, I will pick off with word-of-mouth promotion and social media awareness.
Let's not just earn and convert to our local currency. We need to hodl, learn, and promote Bitcoin Cash in our communities. Together we can make BCH great!
Inside my BCH Wallet
$2.77
Though I have not been tipped by the bot, I have about $2.77 in my wallet, thanks to the $1.99 tip from @Ellie and the support from the #Club1BCH family members. I hope to become a member someday.
