The Money Equillibrium

Earlier today, my group members and I had to move to the outpost we’ll be doing our Field Practical Training for the next three weeks. For convenience, we had to rent an apartment close to the designated station. Not sure if the apartment will serve it’s primary purpose due to the number of persons it is accommodating.

Anyway, I like the area the apartment is located for its peace and quiet. More so for the beautiful houses and buildings around. While sitting in front of the apartment for fresh air, the view of a classy white-painted house provoked the thought that birthed this article. Looking at this particular house and the building around, it sparked a question in my mind.

Firstly, I thought, with this many classy building, you don’t need to be told a lot of money went into building it. One of the questions I thought about was: WOULD THE OVERALL STANDARD OF LIVING OF PEOPLE IMPROVE IF MONEY WAS EVENLY DISTRIBUTED AMONG THE ENTIRE POPULACE? Basically, my question was that if there was no difference in the social status of the entire population, and everyone was in the same class, will things be better?

 That is one of the arguments I’d like to indulge my readers, and I’ll like their opinions in the comment section. But before we proceed, let me ask more questions to help condition your chain of thoughts:

• Can everyone be rich?

• If everyone were rich, who’d do the job the ‘not-so-rich people do?

• Is the current imbalance of money distribution in equilibrium?

• Or is the imbalance really not balanced?

You see, the honest truth is: NOT EVERYONE WILL BE RICH and with that truth accepted. I suppose the question about even distribution of money is the big question that can be viewed from different angles.

It is no news that people are greedy and always want more especially when it comes to money. Even the wealthiest men are looking for ways to amass more wealth. Even distribution of money will put everyone in the single middle class. And while the middle class are comfortable and can relatively afford what they need to be comfortable, we can say that the greed for more money will make some people want to do every job they can find.

Assuming they manage to get many jobs done and move up the social ladder because they’re earning more, and the more they earn is from their other middle class people. Thus, moving money from one set of people to another. This group of people that have gained money go up the ladder, while those who have lost money go down the ladder or remain where they are.

Brings to mind Le Chatelier’s principle in Chemistry. It states that when a change in concentration, pressure, or temperature is applied to a system at equilibrium, the position of the equilibrium shifts in direction that tends to reduce the effect of that change.

I believe there is a delicate balance about everything in the world, from nature, to relationships, to every system, including the chemical system Le chatelier talked about. And I believe the world’s wealth distribution cannot be even. There will always be the three distinct social classes and that is where equilibrium lies. And as an individual move from one class to another, there is a individual that moves in the opposite direction. Believe it or not, the rich go broke just as the broke grow rich.

P.S: THIS IS MERELY ME THINKING OUT LOUD AND WRITING MY THOUGHTS HOPING IT WILL STIMULATE THE MIND OF READERS POSITIVELY AND CREATE AN AVENUE FOR THEM TO AIR THEIR VIEW THROUGH COMMENTS.
