Morning everyone! I just want to share with you some of the poet of the animals and the meaning. perhaps one most egregiously the japanese characteristic is to take notice of the small things of nature and tenderly take care of them.instead of talking about great ideals or highly abstract thoughts, they cultivate chrysanthemums or morning glories, and when the season comes they delight to see them bloom beautifully as they planned. Western mind has ever come to be moved poetically by such insignificant cteatures as the following...

1) a tree frog on a banana leaf 🐸

A little frog Riding on a banana leaf trembling.

I see first of all a broad expanding banana leaf perfectly green in color and vividly fresh about the time of year when the tree frog begins to jump around in the garden. It is spring and it is probable that the frog has just come out of its shelter after rainfall, though the frog family likes to be drenched in it. It now finds itself riding toward the end of the leaf. The "riding" and "trembling" however, suggest a movement in a quiet spring garden where things are all green in variety shades and it brings out the contrast between the greenness of the frog and that of the banana leaf.

2) a monkey soaked in rain πŸ’

First winter rain, the monkey also seems to wish For a little straw cloak.

A poet of loneliness, though he himself is somewhat like monkey wishing for a rain cloak, has full appreciation for the approach of the dreary chilly winter foretold by the drenching showers.

3) the octopus in a jar πŸ™

The octopuses in the jars, transient dreams, the summer moon.

The fisherman sinks a jar into the sea, and the octopus, thingking it a fine shelter gets into it.while it is sleeping there and peehaps enjoying an innocent dream, the crafty fisherman pulls up the jar together with its occupant as the case may be. As to the poor octopuses entrapped, we think they go on dreaming a "transient dream" under the summer moon.

4) A firefly flying flickeringly

A huge firefly, waveringly passes by.

Firefly not a small one but a huge one, reminds us of a person living a life of freedom, fearlessness and individual dignity, with an air of aloofness and transcendentalism. A firefly passing through the air is not attached to the ground and its sordidness.

5) lice and fleas and the stableπŸ•·πŸœ

Fleas, lice, the horse pissing near my pillow

Fleas are irritating, lice are nasty things, a horse pissing close to where one is lying gives one all kinds of disagreeable feelings.but in and through all this, there is to be a feeling of the whole, in which urine and champagne, lice and butterflies take their appointed and necessary place.

Thats all for today!

Thanks everyone and always tc..❀❀
