Story of "Doctrine of Spontaneous Generation"

Louis Pasteur made some glass flasks that were very narrow, very long and curved like a duck's neck (SWAN - NECK FLASK).

This flask opens the way for outside ventilation. In the eight flasks of the pasteurizer, the organism was heated by pouring a liquid medium containing organic solvents or nutrients suitable for the growth of microorganisms, leaving the air passage open. However, even after a long time, there was no infection of microorganisms in that surua. Before the outside air-carrying microorganisms could get inside, they got stuck in the curved neck of the duck, and could not get inside.

Just before this, Pasteur, through a few more experiments, came to the conclusion that in addition to inorganic matter, there are numerous spherical objects in the air that have similarities with microorganisms. After a successful repetition of the test done by Theodore Swann, he did another test. After the sealed hot flask used in Swan's experiment cooled, Pasteur added microorganisms resembling air collected from the air and observed that microorganisms thrive in that trap. Pastur also did a number of experiments on the number of microorganisms in the air and its uneven distribution.

In 181, he published a memoir on the Organized Bodies which exists in the Atmosphere. Later, in a lecture given at the University of Sorbonne on April 6, 184, Pastur said of his experiments that his swan-neck flask showed no signs of life, because:

"For I have kept from them, and I am still keeping from them, that one thing which is above the power of man to make; I have kept from them the germs that float in the air, I have kept from them the life. "

Aiming at the unbelievers, Pastor added, "There is no condition known today in which you can affirm that microscopic beings come into the world without germs, WITHOUT PARENTS LIKE THEMSELVES. VITIATED BY ERRORS WHICH THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PERCIEVE AND HAVE NOT KNOWN HOW TO AVOID. "

After that, this theory did not spread in France.

But in 182 in England, Bastia again raised the banner of this theory. This time John Tindal (1820-1893), a physicist and a staunch supporter of Louis Pasteur, came forward to confront him. In a specially made closed box made of glass and wood, Tyndall placed a few test tubes in an optically empty environment and poured liquid nutrient medium from outside. He then disinfected the liquid medium by placing the closed box in boiling salt solution. He then connected the air and atmosphere inside the box with the help of a very narrow twisted tube with two faces attached to it. Months passed but no microorganisms were born through the liquid. This 18-year test of Tyndale is the last nail in the coffin of genocide!

Already in 1828, the German scientist CG Ehrenberg used the Greek word Bacterium, meaning "small stick", to refer to a class of microorganisms. The term "microbe" was first used in 18 by the French surgeon Charles Emanuel Silant.

We became bacteria from animal molecules about 150 years later, and it took exactly 202 years to get the name microbe. Again, don't ask if we had a meal in 18, 1827 or 18!

Thus a chemist and a physicist jointly proved that microorganisms can never grow on their own in a properly sterile organic sura or liquid.

We also breathed a sigh of relief! Let's get rid of the notoriety of being the father of "La Warish"!
