Filipino Style Congee (Lugaw)

Good morning to everyone. I want to share a recipe that is very easy to cook.

The ingredients used is:

  • 4 to 5 cups of water

  • 1 cup long grain white rice

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup of rousong (pork floss)

  • 1 piece boiled egg (optional)

Instructions on how to cook:

  • Pour the water into the cooking pot and let it boil.

  • Put in the rice and cook it for 30 minutes or until the texture becomes thick while stirring it once in a while.

  • Add the salt, stir and cook it for about 2 minutes.

  • Transfer to a serving bowl and put rousong in the top of it. You can also put egg if you want.
