Her first contest experience

Im back with another story about Adrielles experience.

Last monday Adrielles teacher, call out my attention before going home, and she said that theres a drawing contest that will be happening today november 10, and her last choice was Adrielle. Why last choice?

Her first choice was her repeater student name Dheriel but since this kid just recover from sick last week, she thought that it might get stressed and get sick again, considering the preparation is almost 2days, then her second choice is another repeater name Bryce, but looking how the kid participates in class makes her think, he cant make it, because she was sure that theres a time limit, and then she came up with my daughter Adrielle whose art work during her class are consistent, and eventhough Im a bit hesitant because of the length of preparation, I accept it and for experience also.

The next day she share with me the copy of the drawing that Adrielle needs to sketch and I need to teach her how what is the story behind the drawing, because she needs to explain her drawing infront of the judges.

After class, we started sketching the drawing, then the next day I let her do it again but this time no more copy of the original drawing because during the competition they need to draw it by thier own.

Then when I saw that she alredy knew the details of what she will draw, I started teaching her how to elaborate her drawing, at first it was very stressful, since she blubbering with our own dialect which is tagalog, and I can see that she was tired also and mostly she feels like crying, but whenever I ask her if she dont want to compete, she will answer me that she will compete.

Though she did not completely memorize the details of what I teach her, still she can deliver some part of it.

Today we prepare as early as 6am because we need to be at the venue by 8am and she feels very sleepy, amd during the competition I can see how she is struggling with sleepy head and sometimes her seatmate talking with her,so she does talk and play with her seatmate, but still she made it after 45minutes time alloted for them.

Then during the explanation about theier drawing, she forget some parts of especially introducing herself and the first part, but still she makes it.

They are 31 participants from different schools in lucena and only 10students will be picked and after calling all the 9participants, I lose my hope that she make it to the top10, but I was wrong because the last slot was belongs to her, her teacher and I jump after calling her number,she make it to the TOP10.

Thier next competition will be on November 10, and only 3winners will be awarded, but on november 22, the top10 kids will be part of the celebration of childrens month that will be held at the convention center here in our place.

During the elimination round they received a certificate, recognizing thier participation on the event and a gift from thier respective teacher.
