A birthday wish

Yesterday was Adrielle cousins birthday, her father invited us to be there in yhe afternoon after buying electronic load with me.

But before the small party happened I saw the birthday girl and greeted her and she replied "thank you", I ask her, what are the foods to be prepare for your birthday, the same with Tisay(her youngest sibling) who celebrated last October 26 so I joke her with do you have cake too? She replied "maybe, Auntie said Mommy will buy a cake for me, and so I smile and feel happy with her, since last year she turned 7years old she did not even celebrated it, because if her parents, now after her hearing her response and the glowe in her eyes I can sense how excitedamd happy she is.

After lunch, I prepared Adrielle and did not let her had her afternoon nap,so we can go on time because last time we are late. When we arrived the table is ready and some food and the pansit/noodles is waiting to be cooked, so I help a little.

I asked the birthday girl where is her Mommy and she replied maybe still buying the cake, and I ask the Auntie who is cooking and replied me, NAKU BKA GABI PA DUMATING(maybe she will arrived at night because of work), and after hearing that I feel sad for the little girl.

Before we finally sing A birthday song and take some pictures of her, her Daddy go to work also, he needs to do it because he was the one providing for the kids needs.

Maybe you'll wonder why? They were seperated and the girl is living with another man now, she just go home anytime she want to visit the kids and just leave a few cents for the kids, thats why the father really works hard in the farm to provide for the kids.

When all the food is ready, we take picture of the celebrant who smile outside but sad and lonely inside. I just suggested to get a cupcake and used the candle from her sisters cake last time and we let blow the cake for experience and atleast to let her feel happy.

Then we had snacks, then after her Auntie/Godmother open the videoke for her because she loves to sing even she can't read well yet, while she was singing you can feel that she is not really happy, her way of singing is not from her heart unlike sometimes that feel na feel nya tlga.

I was observing her while she sings,I feel pity on her because she was really expecting for her mommy to arrived home with cake, but it never happened.

Then I ask the granny, what time the mother came and what is the birthday present for her daughter. She said the mother cane home around 8pm,no cake but with a birthday gift of pink watch and the birthday girl is happy naman daw.

End Thoughts

Never make a promise to a kid especially when the kid knew what promises is, they are maybe smiling outside but you dont know what they are thinking inside, they might forget your promise for a while but it will keep coming everytime you broke your promise again, until the time that she might hate you for making all your promises be broken.
