Science has modernized the world. Science has given speed to man, has made civilization faster. Scientists have unveiled the mysteries of space and flown the victory flag in space. Innumerable bright objects in the sky have overwhelmed man for ages, people have tried to recognize them, tried to conquer. This indomitable desire of the people of the world to conquer the sky has made space travel possible.
*What is space science:
Space science is one of the branches of physics. Space science is the process and method of experimenting, observing and systematically acquiring systematic and coherent knowledge about space.
*Space Science Journey:
Space Journey has opened a new horizon for the universe. Long before space travel, humans went to the moon in imagination, many examples of which we find in science fiction. On October 4, 1956, this dream of many aspirations and many reactions of the people came true. The then Soviet Union (now Russia) began this journey by launching an artificial satellite called Sputnik-1. Sputnik-1 was sent to the International Geological Survey. A few weeks after the launch of Sputnik, the Soviet Union launched Sputnik-2 into space. The passenger of Sputnik-2 was a dog named 'Leica'. Lycra heartbeat, body temperature and other reactions come to the earth through radio waves. From this, scientists were able to speculate that humans might one day be able to travel to space alive.
*Man's first journey into space:
The dream of man's journey into space was realized on April 12, 1971. On this day, Yuri Gagarin of the Soviet Union orbited the earth. Then, on December 4, 1983, Valentina Tereskova of the Soviet Union became the first woman to go into space on the Stock-6 spacecraft. After that, people's desire to conquer space does not stop.
*Lunar Expedition:
Man first learned about the lunar surface from a picture of an invisible part of the moon sent by the Lunar-3 satellite in October 1959. Over time, the implementation of the 'Apollo-11' mission to the moon began. Two astronauts first landed on the moon on July 17, 1989, during the Apollo 11 mission. First Neil Armstrong of America, then Edwin Aldrin. The part of Apollo 11 that lands on the moon is the four-legged lunar module. In the Apollo 11 mission, people first landed on the moon.
*Mars Expedition:
After the success of the mission to the moon, scientists also conducted missions to Mars. The image of Mars sent by Mariner-4 in 1985 revealed numerous volcanic holes in it. On May 19, 1971, the Mars 2 spacecraft made its first landing on Mars. As part of the mission to Mars, the US space agency NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) sent a Mars Curiosity robot to Mars on August 6, 2012, which is still researching Mars. NASA plans to send a manned vehicle to Mars in the near future. The experiment is going on continuously.
*International Space Station:
Scientists are building the International Space Station for the purpose of successfully conducting missions in space. The first test space station was launched on January 17, 1969. Later, in 1997, Russia, Canada and the United States jointly established a permanent international station in space.
*NASA and ESA:
Like other branches of science, various research institutes are conducting research in the field of space science. NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) was established in the United States on July 29, 1956 for large-scale research. NASA scientists have conducted manned missions in space about one hundred (100) times and have failed twice. The Challenger eruption in 1986 and the Colombia disaster in 2003. The ESA European Space Agency was established in 1985 by a joint effort of 16 European countries for the same purpose.
*New spacecraft design:
For the first time, NASA has adopted an ambitious plan to send a spacecraft in 2016 to collect samples from the surface of some planets. The new design 'Osiris Rex' spacecraft will launch in 2017 and reach an asteroid named Benu in 2018. And from there it will be able to collect samples and send them to the world in 2023. Cubesat, an artificial satellite with a small design, began orbiting in space in 2003. The U.S. National Science Foundation sends it for climate monitoring. Through the modernization of Cubsat, engineers have created the Firefly satellite in a much smaller design. Its size is 10 cm 10 cm 30 cm and its navigation area is 15 lakh km (Source Nature).
*Disadvantages of space missions:
Scientists are constantly working to unravel the mysteries of space, just as the developed countries of the world are getting involved in a kind of war through these missions. They are conducting various missions to maintain dominance in space. It costs billions of dollars to build a spacecraft, but a huge amount of money is lost when an explosion occurs due to a mechanical fault. Competitive campaigns are creating animosity between different countries. In addition, the explosion of spacecraft is creating garbage in space.
For the sake of science, people are constantly unraveling the mysteries of the earth and sending various artificial satellites into space for worldwide communication and research. Nowadays, scientists are studying different planets to live outside the Earth. NASA scientists have already found two Earth-like planets suitable for life. Kepler's '82-F 'and '82-E' planets are suitable for living creatures. Maybe in the near future people will live on a new planet.Corruption-The biggest disease of society
