Google Plus is a social networking site for the search engine Google. It has been gaining popularity since its launch. Google Plus is not a popular social networking site like Facebook, the company said. However, even if there is some similarity with Facebook, this kind of initiative is to spread social media among the users.
*Wikipedia:
Wikipedia is a web-based, multilingual, free encyclopedia designed to provide information and services. Jimmy Wells and Larry Sanger are the founders of this globally popular online database. The website was officially launched on January 15, 2001. It is currently being used as the largest and most popular Internet-based reference in the world.
*YouTube:
YouTube is a video sharing website. It is currently the most popular video sharing site in the internet world, through which its members upload, watch and share videos. There are also video reviews and feedback. Founded in February 2005, the site was created by three former PayPal employees - Chad Harley, Steve Bann and Javed Karim of Bangladeshi descent.
*Skype:
Skype is a VoIP service and software application. Through this social communication, users connect to the internet and communicate with each other through voice, video and instant messaging. In 2003, Dhamiza of Denmark, Januz Fridge and Nicolas Genstrom of Sweden founded Skype.
*Other Media:
In addition to the social media mentioned above, there are other social media such as: MySpace, Blogmate, AOL Instant Messenger, FaceTime (Macintol), Google Talk, Google Voice, ICQ, IBM Lotus Semtime, Windows Live Messenger, Gmail, etc.
