*Information technology in national life:
Every country in the developed world is constantly advancing itself through intensive bridging with information communication technology. The touch of modern civilization has also shown the inevitable need for information technology in our national life. As a part of our national life, we have always been involved in the technical aspects. The use of technology in agriculture, education, economy, society and culture has made our life easier and smoother. The use of modern technology in the medical field is giving new life to people every day, protecting them from deadly diseases. The use of information technology has opened new horizons with the introduction of revolutionary changes in the field of education. All the doors of education are now open to us as a result of free use of internet. The free flow of information has united the whole world. The use of information technology in the global arena has created intercontinental relations. The use of information technology in national life is therefore the demand of the time.
*Bangladesh's prospects in the information technology sector:
It was informed at a press conference organized by the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). In 2012, exports in the software and ICT sectors grew by an average of 50 percent. This growth is one of the top 10 sectors in the country in terms of exports. In the 2012-12 financial year, exports increased to US ১০ 101.83 million. This is a landmark achievement in the country's ICT sector. If this trend of growth continues and more investment is made in this sector, the concerned people think that an annual income of 1 billion dollars is possible by 2021. Which could be a new horizon of possibilities for Bangladesh.
*Information Technology in Poverty Alleviation and New Job Creation:
In the current globalization, the tide of ICT outsourcing is flowing all over the world. To continue the new trend of ICT, a new economy called "Knowledge Economy" has been created. With the development of this new type of economy, developed countries need a huge amount of data processing work. Developing countries are taking advantage of this opportunity to earn huge amounts of foreign exchange. As a result, employment is being created for the poor and unemployed people of the country. Due to geographical reasons, Bangladesh is in the opposite time zone of Europe or America. As a result, Bangladesh can be an ideal country for outsourcing. The Geneva Declaration of the World Summit on Information Society declares the use of ICT as a tool to alleviate poverty.
*The pros and cons of modern information technology:
The triumph of science has its ups and downs. The use of modern information technology has added a different dimension to the journey of human life. Opportunities for foreign trade, education, medicine, business and livelihood have changed drastically for the benefit of modern information technology. This new trend of science has made our distance easy to cross. At the moment the information is moving from one end of the earth to the other. And all this is possible with the help of modern information technology. In addition to all these good aspects of technology, there are also some bad aspects. Many important confidential information is being stolen due to the opportunity of free exchange of information. Misinformation can confuse countless people at the moment due to the free-use of online. In addition, young boys and girls are also victims of online violence due to lack of restrictions. Many people are dying because of hacking or online theft. Moreover, blackmail and online threats have also created a new kind of terrorism. Despite the many bad aspects, we should take the good ones. And only then will it be possible for us to achieve technological excellence.
Bangladesh, our beloved motherland, is a country that stands at the bright door of possibilities. There is no alternative to building a country dependent on modern information technology to accelerate the development of this country. And so we need to rely more on information technology and take the country forward by enriching this sector.
